Making the decision to begin therapy and actually finding a therapist is not an easy task. Please feel free to telephone (419-999-2024) or email (drstacy@embarqmail.com) with any questions
you may have.
I approach therapy from a
cognitive-feeling-behavioral perspective.
I will integrate other therapy approaches as may be helpful. My approach is collaborative, as in many cases, several or all family members will be involved in the therapy process. Therapy works best when the therapist and client(s) have formed a working alliance. You can expect that I will listen as well as comment on or question thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in an honest, respectful, and competent manner.
Cognitive-feeling-behavioral therapy (CFBT) is based on the premise that the way we behave is influenced by how we think and feel about the presenting events in our environment. The average number of sessions a client is seen is between 12-15 sessions. Longer-term therapy is provided when a shorter-term approach does not get the therapy goals accomplished.
